21:00 Erin Fourie
Erin Fourie is a South African singer best known as a Top 16 contestant on the seventh season of the M-Net reality competition Idols, in 2011. Erin’s audition got her four yeses from the Judges in Durban, which means that she can stop looking for a teaching job and start focusing on her singing skills.
She’s been playing guitar since she was 13 and is currently trying to master the ukulele. Erin has a PGCE as well as an Honours Degree in Drama (from UKZN in ‘Maritzburg). She is certain that the stage is where she belongs: be it performing or singing, there’s nowhere she’d rather be. Erin is one of Hilton’s best-loved vocalists, and is an utter treat to listen to.
20:20-21:00 Mercury Mind
Mercury Mind is a two-piece alternative indie duo from PMB. We have been playing since the end of 2018 and have been working mostly on original material as well as covers. Our sound ranges from clean and chilled to harder rock songs. Our influences cover a range of artists including Red Hot Chili Peppers and Twenty One Pilots. Josh Gilliver on drums, Ryan Woodgate on guitar and vocals.

The Kristen Koning Band is an alternative folk band that formed in the KZN Midlands in June 2019. The band is composed of Kristen Koning on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Skippy Kubheka on lead guitar, Dev van Rooyen on bass, and Nerissa Pillay on back-up
They perform original music written by Kristen, as well as covers, in Afrikaans and English, gaining inspiration from artists like Mumford and Sons, Arctic Fire, Tame Impala, and Kings of Leon.
The band’s debut performance at The Valley Open Mic, Crossways, was received warmly by an audience of supporters and fellow musicians. They are currently taking part in the Liberty Midlands Mall Battle of the Bands, and will be performing at the mall on the 3rd of August 2019. They’re next performance is at Music in the Hills on 31 July.
