21:00 Tracing Circles
Led by charismatic front man, Skippy Kubheka (PICTURED), Tracing Circles is an alt-rock trio based in the Midlands. They have been creating music together since July 2019, and have developed a distinct sound – drawing from the energy of Royal Blood, Biffy Clyro, Queens of the Stone Age, Foals, Reignwolf, John Butler & Pearl Jam. In the engine room are Patrick Austin on drums, Dev van Rooyen and then Skippy, of course.
20:00 Gavin William Ferguson
This Durban-based original songwriter and cover artist has a unique, smooth soulful sound to his singing with rock and acoustic guitar influences. He performs a variety of jazz, rock and flamenco strumming and classical finger style picking. Smooth, honeyed melody…pouring over the strings of a gleaming acoustic guitar.
19:30 Kristen Blessie & Evan Oosthuizen
Kwiss Blessie is a KZN based cover artist who performs music that is relatable to everybody. She studied classical music at UCT, then moved to UKZN where she studied pop. While in her final year of honours, she performed 4 times a week at a fine dining resturant in Umhlanga. She now performs at weddings and functions with Evan Oosthuizen, a talented musician who nurtures up and coming artists. Her set is uplifting and specifically chosen to make people appreciate life as well as everything that it has to offer. She believes that every song has a story and it is important for the artist to relate that story to the audience in the most authentic way possible. Being South African, Kwiss grew up in a country with so many different cultures. She believes that it is important for artists to be able to express those diversities through the arts. Kwiss has specifically chosen her repertoire to evoke the emotions from the audience intended by the original writers through the performance that she gives.
