Dave Starke is a guitar-slinging storyteller – stories about himself and those he has observed – the existential stuff:  brokenness, vulnerability and disappointment, but also optimism, healing and small mercies. Inspired by the creators who came before him that poured themselves into paper, canvas, vinyl and clay, Dave uses enough words to get you thinking, but not so many that he tells you what to think. His music is lyric-driven, performed on guitar with occasional touches of percussion and some very haunting whistling. Dave will be joined by his good friend and long-time musical collaborator, Nish Pillay.

19h45 – Feelin’ Good Lite

Ryan Calder and Erin Fourie bring highlights of their show “Feelin’ Good” to the MiTH stage after enjoying a sold-out 3-night run at Village Restaurant in Howick. Calder and Fourie have been gigging and doing shows together since the early 2000’s and have teamed up to bring you good vibes and foot tapping tunes ranging from Elvis to The Proclaimers.

19h00 – Antonio Ravell

Antonio Ravell is a Durban based singer/guitarist known mainly for his role in acts such as the Tequila Twins and in partnership with his wife Joanne in Josie Gold and the Silver Sailor. Catch Antonio at Mith playing a set of his original songs acoustically along with Jo in the first set at Mith.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: MiTH takes place every second Wednesday at The Knoll Historic Guest Farm, Knoll Drive, Hilton. Doors open at 6pm and the music starts at 7pm. Entrance is R50, payable at the door with cash or Zapper. Bring your own booze. Food and soft drinks are available for sale.

DIRECTIONS TO MiTH: Take the N3 to Hilton, take the Hilton turnoff and go South into the Village (away from Hilton College). Travel 5,2km along Hilton Avenue (past two sets of traffic lights and Crossways Pub) and keep going straight as Hilton Avenue turns into Dennis Shepstone Drive. At the 5,2km mark, Knoll Drive will be on your right – the entrance to MiTH is the second entrance on your left into The Knoll Historic Guest Farm.
