9:10pm Tracing Circles
The notion of “Tracing Circles” came about through a jam at Marshall Music (Midlands), where all members currently work. Sharing a profound love for and similar taste in music, the idea to create what drives / moves them became reality. Hence, the band was officially created in July of 2019.
In the engine room – Patrick Austin. Holding down the groove – Dev van Rooyen. The chief – Skippy Kubheka. They are currently in the process of writing a vast array of our their original music and have plans in place to record it as soon as possible. In the meanwhile, they will be doing the rounds and creating live musical fusion for your listening pleasure.
8:00pm Brian Bedingfield
Round two of Brian’s solo songwriting project is called ‘Two Road Trips’, including, as the title suggests, songs and slides chronicling two iconic trips, one through the Karoo in 2018, and the other in 2017 from Nashville to New Orleans to Memphis. He will also be doing some other interesting tunes in the acoustic fingerstyle method, from his and others’ song catalogues. Brian is one of the founder members of the Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters – don’t miss their final concert at MiTH on 18 December.
7:00pm St Charles College Senior Primary Band
Heather Skorpen is St Charles’ music teacher, and she’ll be bringing her young apprentices to dazzle the MiTH faithful. In fine MiTH tradition – yet another group of talented learners to start off the evening. This is why MiTH was started – to give a stage to new and young performers so that their first experiences of musical performance are positive. Don’t miss it!
